Find out what on earth ‘shirtless dancing guy’, toes, passports, mould and electric cars all have to do with the way we build homes now, and in the future….. Ele will take us through some of the ‘construction innovations’ in the homes we can expect to see in the coming years from collaborative & forward-thinking MMC manufacturers, clients and supply chain. As well as making the case for modular technology in providing a comprehensive information pathway, Ele will explore how holistic building design can contribute towards long-term social value creation.
Ele George is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with a passion for all things innovative. Specialising in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), Ele’s worked on projects ranging in scale from her own self-build eco-home to the development hospitals and stadiums. She looks to increase sustainability in our built environment at every opportunity. Ele’s ambition is to create mixed tenure developments, where sustainable and accelerated construction are key drivers to delivering more affordable homes and community infrastructure, placing social value at the heart.
Ele is a leading champion for both sustainability and diversity within the construction industry, and, in December, was awarded a place in the HOMES UK Climate Champions Power List. The List recognises individuals for their efforts, achievements and innovations in tackling the climate emergency and celebrates those who are driving positive change in the sector.
