HAWCE & CIOB site visit to the Midlands Centre for Cyber Security in Hereford

£10.00 for non-membersThis month’s event sees HAWCE and CIOB come together for a joint visit to the site of the groundbreaking new Midlands Centre for Cyber Security at Skylon Park in Hereford.
The building, which has been designed to BIM Level 2 and to meet BREEAM ‘Very Good’ certification, is being constructed using Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and we will visit mid-installation of the CLT frame.
The centre is being developed in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton and Herefordshire Council and will support three main areas:
- Accommodation for businesses working in the cyber security sector with potential space for up to 20 tenant businesses, creating 185 additional jobs for the county;
- Secure training and educational facilities to provide specialist cyber security training for businesses and organisations;
- A base for undertaking research in the field of cyber security. The centre will also have specially equipped laboratories which will enable users to simulate cyberattacks and test responses in a secure environment.
