The September event sees a collaboration between HAWCE, RIBA and the Celebrating Architecture festival with a joint visit to the recently completed Keyes Building at King’s School, Worcester.

The event will commence with a presentation by John Christophers, Associated Architects, on the site’s history and the design and construction of this award nominated building. This will be followed by conducted tours of the building and facilities.

Constructed on the site of the old Salmon’s Leap public house in Severn Street, Worcester, the scheme is ordered around a central foyer space on several levels. These serve and internally link the sports hall, changing rooms, dining hall, dance studio and theatre. Externally they form a new through route linking Severn Street and Castle Court and opens up the concealed view of the cathedral tower. Value £9m, BREEAM rating – excellent with completion in 2015.

The event has a limit of 60 attendees and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please book early!
