Our speaker, Sam Uren, will give a general overview of the station, the design and the construction challenges including why the station is located where it is, how it is funded and the complex agreements that are in place, what will be provided, what the layout will be, some interesting challenges in terms of ecology and stakeholders, where we are now on site and what the plans are for the coming months.

Sam Uren BEng CEng MICE – Engineering Director, SLC Rail

Sam is an enthusiastic and results-focused Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years’ experience across a multitude of railway projects. She specialises in the interdisciplinary management of new stations and railway infrastructure and has a wealth of experience in design and project management as well as strategic rail development roles.

She became a director and shareholder of SLC Rail in December 2017. She leads the engineering team which provides specialist support during development, design and delivery stages of client projects. She is responsible for engineering assurance procedures, best practice and staff development.
