About the Hereford Fire Station project:
The new Hereford Fire Station, constructed by Speller Metcalfe, is part of a wider programme to improve fire and rescue services for Hereford and the surrounding areas.
The £13.6 million development replaces the former station with a modern, four-storey facility featuring four appliance bays, high-quality operational and training spaces, and carefully designed external areas to complement the historic St Owen Street surroundings.
Construction is progressing at pace, with the steel frame complete and the building envelope now taking shape. Full completion is expected in early 2027, providing a modern, durable base for fire and rescue operations in the city.
